Born and raised in Michigan as Teresa Marie Abbruzzese, Teresa
gained an appreciation for the arts in her years in school. Teresa
was involved in many advanced art programs at an exemplary school
that emphasized the arts. Before graduating high school, Teresa had
one painting published in an art supply catalogue and another used
for a poster intended to promote a local performing arts show.
Teresa, for some reason, thought that art was something people only
did for themselves. At the age of seventeen, Teresa moved to the Carolinas to begin work on her Bachelors degree in Biology. In the end she obtained a Bachelors degree in Psychology/Biology with concentration in Psychoneuroimmunology (the study of the interconnectiveness of thought and immunity). Even while attending classes Teresa never stopped painting every chance she got. Before she knew it, she had quite a collection. After becoming Teresa Marie Rapp and soon after, a mother, Teresa thought of the idea of working with a gallery to offer her originals, although with that route she would be forced to part with her beloved paintings. After speaking with some of the top artists in the country on the subject it was suggested that she make top-quality reproductions of her favorite pieces to share with others. This was the solution she was in search of. Now we are all being given the opportunity to share in the artwork and ideas that she has collected and her current work. Although Teresa prefers to stick to simplistic designs, she seems to capture the passion of what she is attempting to express. Teresa is a deeply spiritual person and a strong free spirit. It is easy for those who appreciate art and spirit to see and feel a certain unexplained connectiveness to her pieces. ![]()
